Scholar’s Journal

After that Scholar’s Bible work of a couple weeks ago, I had a special journal to make and decided to use the “Scholar’s Journal” (oversized cover lips) technique on a light greenish died goat skin imported from Italy. This one here was the first one I made ( that didn’t go to the customer). The super thick journal is about 438 pages on Natural Rolland Recycled pages with a rough cut face edge. Decked out with some sparrow design letterpress printed end sheets from Center for the Book/ Minneapolis. It’s got raised hubs on the spine and front with multi-level boards on the front cover. Silk Blue/White Head and Tail Bands with a Royal Blue ribbon marker. Metallic Copper Geometric shapes painted on front. Blind embossed corner stamping very subtle and creates a very Celtic/Old World feel to it when you hold this one in your hands. Can’t buy this one in a store, but then again, maybe you could. 🙂 Contact us at for wholesale and all other inquiries.
