Had some fun making some new journals, by up-cycling some comic book covers we had laying around the shop. We cut the covers down, film laminate them with a high gloss finish and duplexed them to Mohawk 34 point material which is stiff and rigid, but allows us to wiro-bind. Interior pages are on our standard house stock: 70 lb Rolland Natural Recyled. About 160 pages 5 x 7″.
Then we took a few blank book blocks we had Smyth sewn, but not done any thing with, ( no end sheets applied yet). So we duplexed a few more covers directly on to first and last pages of the book blocks to create some trendy little exposed thread soft cover blank journals.
